Associates Board
The Associates Board of Sarah’s Circle is looking to create strong relationships with young professionals eager to make a meaningful impact in the community. Through leadership opportunities such as volunteerism and fundraising events, Associates Board members are strongly connected to the mission of Sarah’s Circle and aid in promoting overall support.
Membership benefits include:

- The opportunity to give back to the community and be part of the next generation of Sarah’s Circle leadership
Expectations of Associates Board Members
Time Commitment
- Attend quarterly meetings
- Promote and attend annual Associates Board fundraising events
- Participate in 4 (or more) direct service volunteer activities annually
- Create a fundraising page for Winter Walk: a Mile in Her Shoes
Financial Commitment
- Annual personal contribution of $250 to Sarah’s Circle which can include:
- Ticket(s) purchased to any Sarah’s Circle event by you, family, friends, etc
- Donation raised through the peer-to-peer platform for Winter Walk: a Mile in Her Shoes
- Personal financial contribution made directly to Sarah’s Circle
- Outside financial contribution made in honor of Associates Board member directly to Sarah’s Circle
- Matching donation made by place of employment
Impact Board
The Impact Board of Sarah’s Circle educates individuals on the realities and complexities of women’s homelessness in order to advocate for women who are homeless, increase awareness of key issues, and raise funds. The Impact Board includes an informed and passionate group of individuals focused on increasing the visibility of Sarah’s Circle.
Membership benefits include:
Sarah’s Circle’s Impact Board is an opportunity for philanthropic minded individuals to contribute to Sarah’s Circle’s mission with a high impact and low time commitment. In addition to participating in ending homelessness for women in Chicago, Impact Board members can expect:
- Quarterly updates about Sarah’s Circle’s work
- Recognition in our Annual Report and on our website
- Access to the tools, information, and support needed to fulfill your individual goals as a member of this board
Expectations of Impact Board Members:
Time Commitment
Conduct one stewardship event annually to introduce community members to Sarah’s Circle. Examples include:
- Hosting a lunch or coffee with colleagues
- Hosting a brunch or cocktail party
- Introducing Sarah’s Circle to a place of employment for potential sponsorship or corporate foundation funding
- Introducing Sarah’s Circle to a faith-based community
- Recruiting one person to participate on the Impact Board
- Promoting and attending annual fundraising events (2 total)
Financial Commitment
Members are asked to make an annual financial impact of $2,500 either through a personal contribution, or through any ancillary contributions made promoting the Impact Board’s efforts. These would include, but are not limited to:
- Funds raised during a house event
- Tickets purchased for the CheerFest
- Money donated through your Winter Walk team
- Money donated through corporate sponsorship, faith-based organizations, friends, family, and colleagues
